The Crosshands Caravan Park, Moreton in Marsh, Gloucestershire
We have just spent three nights at The Crosshands caravan park near Moreton in Marsh.
On paper, this is a fantastic site. It’s got Wi-Fi. It’s got a toilet. It’s even got a shower. It is expensive. Well it’s on the expensive scale for me, Considering it’s a certified site.
Upon arrival, there were no instructions of whether they wanted us or when they wanted their money in fact they said they’d pop along any moment and they didn’t.
The site is very rundown, dirty, rubbish overflowing, cesspit full and there is no shower - despite being advertised as being one. It was used as storage room - as was the reception room.
The women’s toilet was closed (water was disconnected/off), the only available toilet had a SEE-THROUGH window. There was rubbish on the site; sandal, remains of a fire (on the ground), and generally run down.
The Wi-Fi was fairly decent, but that alone is not a reason for me to return to this site unfortunately.
For £25 a night off-peak I expected better. My mistake.
We will not be returning and I do not recommend it as a place to stay when visiting the Cotswolds either.
Even when it came to leaving, communication with the site was unsuccessful. I had to contact CCC in view of what was happening. Upon their advice, I’ve had to email the site (CCC provided their email address) re: payment.
